"Dr. Sun Yat-sen and the United States" Exhibit Opens in Kaohsiung

On October 6, over 100 government officials, journalists, faculty members and students from National Sun Yat-sen University attended the opening of the exhibit "Dr. Sun Yat-sen and the United States" at the University’s Library and Information Service Building. AIT Kaohsiung Branch Chief Gary Oba, NSYSU President Yang Hong-dun, and National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Deputy Director Di De-yin delivered opening remarks noting the impact of core U.S. values in the formulation of Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s “Three Principles.” Following the opening ceremony, Judy Lu, former Acting Chief of the Asian Division at Library of Congress, lectured on “The Birth of the First Republic in Asia as Seen from Diplomatic Documents.”
